Our French Onion Soup recipe consists of:

  • 1 Quart of Onions
  • 1/4 Tablespoon of Garlic
  • 1/4 Tablespoon of Shallots
  • 1/4 Cup Sherry Wine
  • 1 1/2 Quarts of Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Beef Base
  • 1/4 Tablespoon of Rosemary
  • 1/4 Tablespoon of Thyme

First you want to caramelize the onions, followed by adding the garlic and shallots to cook for another two minutes. Then add the sherry wine and our secret ingredient. Reduce the sherry by half, and then add the rest of the ingredients. Bring it to a boil, and then reduce to a simmer.

This recipe produces eight 8oz portions, so you’ll never go hungry! All you need to do is top it off with sourdough bread pieces and melted provolone, and you’re set. Enjoy this warm, delicious meal during these cold fall days and let us know what you thought next time you come in!
